Location:
Victoria Park Armories, Sydney, NS
Time Start:
Be at the site by 9:00am,
opening ceremonies begin at 9:30am, run starts at 10:00am.
Distance:
2.1km for elementary students, 4.2km
for junior high students

Parking:
Parking around the armories will be
restricted. Parking is available on Esplanade, George, Charlotte and
side streets, please consider car pooling to avoid congestion.
T-Shirts and
Bibs: If participants have not received them at their school, they will pick
them up entering the armories the day of the run; T-shirts MUST be
the outermost layer of clothing.
General
Information: All participants
will receive their medal after crossing the finish line. Water is
provided on the route and there will be yogurt and fruit available for
participants at Victoria Park after the run.
Registration
Fee: $10 (T-shirt, Bib, and Medal)
Route:
2.1km route starts at Victoria Park
armories, proceeding down the Esplanade to Ortona Street to George
Street, south on George to Dorchester Street to the Esplanade and back
to the finish at Victoria Park. Junior High students complete this
course twice for 4.2km run.
Safety and
Security: Cheering on
participants is greatly encouraged but STAY OUTSIDE THE COURSE for the
safety of all participants. Run organizers, police, medical personnel,
and volunteers will be on the course to ensure participant’s safety and
to answer any questions that you may have. Families are encouraged to
run the course with their child if they wish. You do not need to
register to run along with your child.

Registration fee: $10:00 is non-refundable and non-transferable under
any circumstances. Please make cheque payable to the Cape Breton
Fiddlers Run and mail to 58 Cottagedale Crescent, Sydney, N.S., B1P 6T8.
Post mark no later than Oct.16, 2008.
